About Atelier Blooms

Located in Auckland and serving the greater Auckland Region, close friends, Bonnie and Gil identified a niche in the flower market and believe that their hand-crafted artificial paper blooms could be the answer.

Once a  small aspect of Bonnie’s art practice, flower making quickly took over once Gil started showing the unique hand crafted blooms to colleagues. Her colleagues were amazed that the blooms were not real flowers. It was this positive reaction to the blooms that began Atelier Blooms, and what we believe uniquely sets us apart from other floral providers. Whether you are in need of brightening a home or office, decorating an intimate event or pulling out all the stops for a wedding, we’d like to help if we can.

Incorporating elements of Sculpture, Transformation, the Ready-made, Abstraction, Colour, Found Object* (not new), Materiality and Naturalistic expression, our paper blooms are made of artist crepe paper and pigment, glue, and wire. Each paper bloom is individually hand-crafted in our studio, and partnered with artificial flowers and greenery.
